It’s Nini. I’m currently a student at SMU in Dallas, Texas. I’m so eager to get out there in the world (I just love learning…. ughh decisions decisions).
I do all kinds of various jobs and my life is often sitting in a hair chair and having my hair tugged on and its sooo not fun at all.
I often write about different things, including my experiences with health, love of poetry, music, etc. I use this blog to track/encourage myself as I write, complete projects, and go through some major, major milestones in life…
My loves: my little pup the most. Her name is… Puppy. and she’s one of those dogs that forever look like a puppy, though she’s fully grown and weighs 20 pounds. I also like travel (Edinburgh, Scotland is one of my favorite places. Hello J.K. Rowling), reading (duh), movies, theatre, singing, playing piano, writing books, poems, short stories, working out, and– did I mention TELEVISION?
I never watched the last episode of House, because it will make it official, and I’m way too sad for it to really be over. I love Sherlock, the Mindy Project, Royal Pains, Gossip Girl (don’t judge, Blair and Chuck are a fascinating pair for a writer to examine) and a whole bunch more of random shows I can’t seem to remember right now.
Some of my favorite reads lately are Tell the Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, A Series of Unfortunate Events (my childhood favorite), the Harry Potter Series, the House of Night series, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Klein, A Paris Wife by Paula McLain, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, but Sylvia’s diary is probably the most interesting thing I’ve ever read. And I just really, really connected to her… the list goes on and on. (I feel like I’m forgetting my favorite book or something… this list is so shi–) I really want to get my hands on some Anais Nin and Haruki Murakami. I abhor myself that I haven’t read them yet. I love everything I’ve read so far about Nin.
My sister is one year younger than me and my best friend. My mom, my other best friend, was very sick with colon cancer which I used to blog about here.
I post to Fanfiction, Wattpad, Tumblr, and write articles for other websites on occasion. No real twitter yet.
Right now I’m being paid to write Seeing, a project that I get so many ideas for and I’m find it hard to organize and therefore complete. It’s an adult fiction with a paranormal aspect.
But I have two other projects almost fully fleshed out I’m excited to get up on Wattpad or publish.
Thanks for checking this blog out, loves.
